We are so excited that you have chosen ICC Floors for your flooring needs. You may have various questions about the installation process and what happens next. We hope to address some of those questions right now to help give you a better understanding of the installation process. Here are nine commonly-asked installation questions:
1. When do I schedule an installation appointment?
When the material arrives at our store, one of our staff members will contact you. You are also welcome to check in on the status of your order!
2. How long will it take to complete my home’s installation?
Installations vary depending on the quantity of material ordered from the manufacturer.
3. What happens to my old flooring?
If you hired ICC Floors to remove it, we will dispose of it.
4. Do I move the furniture that is currently in the room?
Our installers can move the furniture for you, but there will be a fee associated with moving furniture. Please note that there is also a fee for taking up flooring.
5. Is there a charge for coming back to fix something?
Most floors have a minimal two-year installation warranty.
6. What time will the installers arrive?
During the time of scheduling your installation, one of our staff members will give you a two-hour window of when the installation crew should arrive at your house. If anything should come up, you will be notified by one of our staff members.
7. Do the installers clean up after they are done?
Our installers are required to leave the installation job in an orderly manner. Large jobs, however, will create more dust so that even when the installers have cleaned, some dust may resettle due to dust from air ducts.
8. What if we are short the material required to complete the job?
If you hired us for your measurements, we are responsible for buying the remaining amount of material. If the customer measured the room by themselves, they are responsible for buying the remaining amount of material from the manufacturer and additional labor fees that may be associated with more material. We do not install material that we have not purchased and cannot be responsible for shortages or overages on any Cash and Carry purchases.
9. Will my carpet seams be invisible?
Anytime two pieces of material are put together, we cannot guarantee invisible seams, but our crew will do the best possible job to minimize the appearance of seams.
We hope that these answers will help any remaining questions you might have about the installation process. Let us know if you have any more questions or concerns!
