Must-Have Cabinet Colors

July 30, 2020 by Shannon Vogel Leave a Comment

Kitchen cabinets are the face of the kitchen. They tie together the design and represent current trends through architecture, fixtures, and color. Color can be an essential aspect of design. The colors we choose for our home can embody our style and personality. The following colors are versatile and will work in nearly any home. Let us take a look!

Must-Have Kitchen Cabinet Colors:

  1. Pastel Colors. If you are looking for a subtle pop of color, pastels are a beautiful choice. They are light and whispy for a refreshing take on classic colors. For a stylish and fresh kitchen, be sure to incorporate your favorite pastels.
  2. Mint. Mint has become a popular appliance color over the past couple of years, but the color does not stop there. Mint can be incorporated into your kitchen through your cabinetry. Mix your mint with some neutral tones, and you will have a breathtaking design in no time.
  3. Light Gray. If you love neutrals, light gray cabinetry is definitely for you. It provides a unique twist on standard neutral cabinetry by adding a cool hue. We love light gray because it works well with nearly every design.
  4. Deep Blue. This color gives us some serious nautical vibes, and we are obsessed. Deep blue is not for the frail at heart. This color can be one of the boldest of the bunch, and we love its drama. Recently, design experts have been incorporating orange into the kitchen’s design. Since orange is the complementary color to blue, the room is well balanced and beautiful.
  5. White. A traditional, classic color that never goes out of style is white. White cabinetry is a beautiful and timeless option for homeowners. If you are looking for a color that will always stay relevant, white is for you!
  6. Black. Black is large and in-charge. With black, you can create clean lines and elegance inside your kitchen. The color can be incorporated into a modern kitchen for a bold look.
  7. Sage. Recently, sage green has begun to win over the hearts of many homeowners. The color is soft and easily blends into the kitchen’s design.
  8. Charcoal. If you are looking for a darker version of gray, charcoal is here for you. Charcoal is a neutral, middle-ground between white and black. You can use charcoal for a bold and beautiful look.
  9. Eggshell. If white is a little too bright for you, eggshell may be a perfect choice. This off-white color is ideal for homeowners looking for a clean, pristine design in their kitchen.
  10. Taupe. Taupe is a gray color with a tint of brown. We love this color because it takes neutrals to the next level. Try this color in your kitchen for a breath-taking design.

Cabinet Accessories You Didn’t Know You Couldn’t Live Without

July 24, 2020 by iccfloors Leave a Comment

Whether your style is traditional, modern, or somewhere in between, when it comes to cabinets, most people don’t think about cabinet accessories. Most homeowners just think of cabinets as something you have to own to store your dishes and the only accessory options are hardware and different door styles. However, there is so much more to cabinetry! In fact, let’s take a look at some must-have cabinet accessories!

ICC Floors Plus Showroom

Corner Cabinets

Using a corner cabinet allows you to pick up valuable space that otherwise could go unused. This can also be an opportunity to select a door with glass to showcase serving dishes or decorative glassware. The corner of your kitchen can become a point of interest rather than a necessity.

Vanity Accessories

Often bathrooms are small spaces that need to store a lot of items! Consider using open spacing in your vanity to display rolled up towels and decor pieces. You can even unleash your inner designer and add furniture features like decorative legs or feet for your vanity.

Things to think about and ask yourself before planning for new cabinets help ensure that your cabinetry plan includes solutions that will make your life easier!

Questions to Ask Yourself:

  1. Would your makeup or toiletries stay more organized with pull out sliding shelves?
  2. Would a trash can or hamper, included as part of your cabinet plan, make your space feel more streamlined and organized?
  3. Do you sit down to put on your make up where space for a chair with a vanity knee drawer would make getting ready something you could enjoy?
  4. Would a matching framed mirror make your space feel more design-inspired?

For the Organizers

Imagine cooking in a kitchen where some of the common frustrations are solved with a little planning. Imagine all of your spices displayed and organized in a spice drawer. Imagine a cabinet designed for trays and cookie sheets so that they stay divided and upright. Imagine a trash can that opens with a gentle press from your foot for use when your hands are full. Envision all of your knives lined up with dividers to keep the blades safe. If you’re a cooking enthusiast, we’ve got the accessories to celebrate your kitchen skills as well as your kitchen tools!

If you love your pets but don’t love the clutter that comes with their accessories, we’ve got toe kick drawers for storage and open bases for bowls and pet beds. Having these items stored in line with your cabinets prevents trip hazards as well as these items taking up valuable space for other items you want to see and focus on showcasing!

Decorative Designs

Do you have a love for dishes and glassware? Show them off with end displays or upper cabinet doors have decorative glass. If you don’t have a collection you want to show off, choose decorative designed doors to give your kitchen a designer look and feel.
